Adam's Peak , Sri Lanka

Sri Pada (also Adam's peak; Sinhalese Samanalakanda - සමනළ කන්ද "butterfly mountain", is a 2,243 metres (7,359 ft) tall conical mountain located in central Sri Lanka. It is well known for the Sri Pada "sacred footprint", a 1.8 meters (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit, in Buddhist tradition it is held to be the footprint of the Buddha, in Hindu tradition that of Shiva and in Muslim and Christian tradition that of Adam.
The mountain is located in the southern reaches of the Central Highlands, in the Ratnapura district of the Sabaragamuwa Province - lying about 40 km northeast of the city of Ratnapura. The surrounding region is largely forested hills, with no mountain of comparable size nearby. The region along the mountain is a wildlife reserve housing many species varying from elephants to leopards, and including many endemic species.

Trails

Access to the mountain is possible by 6 trails (Ratnapura-Palabaddala, Hatton-Nallathanni, Kuruwita-Erathna, Murraywatte, Mookuwatte & Malimboda). Out of these the Nallathanni & Palabaddala routes are the most popular. Kuruwita-Erathna road is somewhat popular as well. The other 3 roads are almost obscure. It joins the Palabaddala road midway through the ascent. Buses connect the final nodes of Nallanthanni to Hatton, Palabaddala to Ratnapura & Erathna to Kuruwita. Thereafter it's a difficult journey through the forest on foot. Most of the pilgrims use Hatton route as the journey on foot can be reduced by more than five kilometers even though the slope of this route is much greater than other routes.

Rising Sun at top of the Adam’s Peak

Many tourists and local travelers came to see Sri pada ( Adam’s Peak ) specially to witness the early morning rising sun above from the horizontal mountain ranges , it’s was really an amazing endemic scenery , when sun is start rising it makes awesome blends of colors among the clouds , and these colors are changed with time to time by giving a brief window to photographers to make absolute photographs with slightly diffe
rent color filters.

Morning Glory

During the early morning ,around the mountain area is little bit drizzling and the atmosphere is misty and cold , and about every morning a traditional Buddhist ceremony will be conducted by the monks of the temple ,

Divided we fall united we Stand

Fun facts about ants is that they can lift 20 times its own weight. Ant colonies are controlled by a queen ant and there are soldiers and workers, ants can track their own trails for miles and there are more than 10,000 species of ants all over the world. But one of the most important thing about ants is their unity and bond, they always joined as a whole. This is one thing that humans can learn from ants “Divided we fall united we stand” its like the only thing that ants are following. On the other hand this will limit the creative and free thinking because if we all act like ants and doing only the things we told to do then humans will never invent the massive structures and complex technologies in past and humans will never evolve like this. I believe humans are free thinkers and always curious about their surroundings and this lead them to invent and explore, but still we have to admire the unity and the workmanship that ants have.
