During the colonial era , it was called by "Little England" because of its unique climates which is different from most of Sri lank-an city climates. Nuwara Eliya town was founded in the 19th century by the British,  Even after the Colonial period still the remaining s of the buildings features the Architectural aspects of Colonial period , and even most of the new building still tries to retain the old glory as well. Probably the best time to visit Nuwara Eliya would be April-May Season and August -September , where the flowers blooms.
