Starting with Gothic Photography !

Gothic art was a style of Medieval art that developed in France out of Romanesque art in the mid-12th century, led by the concurrent development of Gothic architecture. It spread to all of Western Europe, but took over art more completely north of the Alps, never quite effacing more classical styles in Italy. In the late 14th century, the sophisticated court style of International Gothic developed, which continued to evolve until the late 15th century. In many areas, especially Germany, Late Gothic art continued well into the 16th century, before being subsumed into Renaissance art. Primary media in the Gothic period included sculpture, panel painting, stained glass, fresco and illuminated manuscripts. The easily recognisable shifts in architecture from Romanesque to Gothic, and Gothic to Renaissance styles, are typically used to define the periods in art in all media, although in many ways figurative art developed at a different pace.

Although Gothic art started with monumental sculpture and the 15-16th century architecture , the style has came a long way cross now , and during the end of the 19th century gothic rock and goth metal emerge as the most  forceful gothic art of the century , Within the shadows of the gothic rock a subculture was came into existence,
As I believe humans are naturally spiritual from inside , most of them needed something to believe and sometime they believed the unbelievable so gothic was also featured with supernatural , dark-side, spiritual , weirdness , morbid ...etc , so this features attracted a human subculture to form a gothic art , and now it's spreading furiously among the youth ,

Gothic Photography

Gothic photography is also refers to the same subjects I talked earlier , it's featured with low light / darkness , fear, fantasy , blood , sepia , hues and saturation effects ,

Gothic photography colors

It's not the colors you see in your day to day life , thus it's far beyond from reality and some where along side with fantasy , but not every Gothic art is fantasy there are many situations where reality it self giving the goth effects , examples like , Misty mountain ranges , pinkish sun set , ...etc but mostly the colors are grey/ash/black and plus any  saturated single color like Purple,Red,Green,Blue ,

Gothic Choreography

when making the atmosphere to Gothic photography , you can select various landscapes to gardens ,and almost any thing , but only needed to add the Gothic sense in to the scenery mostly beginners select misty atmospheres or cemeteries and ancient architectural buildings to get the job done , and also most of the gothic images are featured with a female model dressed up with a Halloween like costume ,this is really effective and  can grab the whole gothic subculture audience in one piece .

How to turn your normal picture into a Gothic art

this is also somewhat easy and not needing photography skills , all you needed is bit of photo editing skills together with Gothic visionary , but first of all I must say that , this is not entirely gothic photography at all , if you are a big fan of Gothic photography then should not try to rely on these methods ,

any way this method is really easy , all you have to do is add some Hue/Saturation / Sepia effects to your normal looking photograph and turns it into a stunning Gothic art ,

Normal Picture of a tree ( although this have some gothic features )

After adding the Sepia effects to the original image.

after Changing the Saturation level, there you go a decent looking gothic image !
